It will always be a technological thing. You know I was in Sussex, WI for a book signing event. Wonderful event with multiple books also sold and signed on the airplane going and coming back home. People still like to read – thank goodness for us authors who still have something to say in our writing.
I asked last week why I called Oconomowoc, WI the Hamptons of the Midwest. The wealthy of Chicago, Milwaukee, and even St. Louis made Oconomowoc their summer home, building their two and three-story ‘cottages’ on Fowler Lake and Lac La Bel.
Flying home from Minneapolis….that’s flying home to Myrtle Beach from Milwaukee via Minneapolis I met two delightful people who were my seatmates. Sarah directs choirs for sixth – eighth graders and high school students. Ben, her husband-to-be is a farmer caring for 130 acres, raising sheep, managing their B/B, a finished carpenter, and chef at their restaurant that seats over 100 hundred people. We have become friends for life.
My wife is editing my next historical fiction novel TIME TO TELL while I write this and soon it will be discussion time as we debate her conclusions. I’ll let you know how that turns out next week. Time to post this. My grass needs cutting and my roses need attention.
Be well, be safe…and…enjoy this day.
